Epicurious Condé Nast has announced a new partnership with Networks swirl users to carry their mobile applications that work with digital experiences iBeacon technology Apple stores. As part of the agreement, beacons installed Swirl Shopping retail across North America now will serve as a trigger to provide content lifestyle and personalized 9 million users Epicurious iPhone app offers.

In making the announcement, Epicurious says:

From this week, in-store digital experiences will be available to users of the iPhone app Epicurious who have opted to receive local content. These experiences in the stores are being tested in select markets where Epicurious mobile app users receive content and culinary offerings and lifestyle while shopping … lifestyle brands like Epicurious have the ability to tap into the growing network of swirl retail partners expand their brand experiences with highly relevant content, services and offers that are delivered seamlessly to consumers where and when it is most valuable.

Epicurious provides information about food and cooking. The Epicurious Recipes & Shopping List app is one of the most popular in the App Store in both Food & Drink, and lifestyle categories.

Today’s announcement did not indicate that the stores would swirl beacons sending notifications to users Epicurious applications. But probably not too hard to figure this out.

Last month, Swirl beacons began greeting customers in the Hudson Bay and Lord & Taylor stores across Canada and the United States. Your other retail customers include Alex and Ani, Timberland, and Kenneth Cole.
